I also had the pleasure of designing and developing Buzz's first Blazor / WASM app. A server-less solution using C# in the browser running on Web Assembly with an Azure.

I helped Carrington Carr create and implement and new Call Centre Management solution. A single-page application linked via Web and Windows Services to partner companies. It is massively faster and more reliable than the system it replaced.

I developed a strict schema and data validator for their massive analysis Excel spreadsheet and a database import/export of the analysis data.

AppLayer needed to improve the management and visibility of their cloud hosting platform. I designed and developed and cross-domain watchdog service with a Silverlight management panel.

I was asked to develop a ‘shiny’, Dove branded, C# / WPF / WCF, multi-lingual, XML driven Wizard which managed the downloading of hair-test readings from a USB device and ‘on-the-fly’ firmware updates to the device. In the background, a Windows Service uploaded the reading data to a central server with the Wizard questionnaire results while monitoring for.

I was at UNESCO fixing an incomplete WPF / C# / MVVM / WCF internal application to the point where they could scope the features needed to complete the application. This application accepted international expense data from the UN headquarters and allowed it to validated and corrected before being posted to SAP. There was a second phase of this work in Feb.

I worked at Sequence on a very important new UK Government eNotice portal. This high-profile portal publishes all EU contracts over £125K, all UK public contracts over £10K and many UK contracts less than £125K. This is a robust, redundant, complex, high-availability, high-volume application with a great political significance. I spent about 75% of my time.

I designed and implemented what was one of the most ambitious heterogeneous wide-area networks. Linking hundreds of PCs and servers in every inhabited continent to the central site in the City of London. I was an very early adopter of Linux and Internet technologies.

I developed a pioneering distributed architecture to link AS/400s and PCs as intelligent peers.

Amongs other things, I developed the core financial engine which processed the royalties for Michael Jackson, the Bee Gees, U2 and many other major artists - and they never said thanks.
