Profile bio

About Peter Kibble

I’m an experienced software designer and coder who likes to make the difficult appear elegant and the complex seem simple. I’ve worked at every level including: a coder in teams; Team Leader; hands-off Architect and as CTO. But whatever my role, my motivation is alway the challenge of delivering the best solution possible for the project and budget constraints.Over the last few years my major effort has been the puzzle app Stenciletto. This is joint effort with my Graphic Designer partner. It is .NET based with a custom vector graphics and animation framework. It can be found in the iOS App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Samsung Galaxy Store. Stenciletto uses our in-app purchase implementation on all platforms, and full Apple Game Center and Google Play Games integration. Before Stenciletto we published two iOS image processing apps, but launched them just before Instagram went big, so we eventually retired them. We also had two families of education products which were very successful in Schools for a few years. Grid Magic was a graphics design package, which won an international Ed-Tech award, beating Apple and Lego. And Go-Robo which animated physical infrared robots and was a finalist for the same awards. To fund our app development I have worked freelance on a wide range of projects for a number of customers. I’ve worked in software development for Gaming, Banking, Insurance, Music Publishing, Pharmaceuticals, Enterprise Software, Finance, Cloud Hosting, Medical Technology, Design Agencies, UNESCO and more. I’ve done Greenfield applications and updated, fixed and upgraded legacy applications. I’ve been hand-on and hands-off; a manger; a team leader; a team member; a mentor; an application designer; a coder; an architect and a documenter. I’m happy doing user interfaces all the way to back-end work and will take on short and long projects.

Listed skills include C#, Software Development, Xml, Javascript, and 36 others.

Helping Buzz in the rollout of a very big business transformation project. We got the Mobile App and the initial test clubs working, then Covid lockdown came again and the rollout paused. Another happy year at Buzz. I did a shed load of things while I was there. Primarily being the UK technical liaison for their new outsourced customer App; designing the app security layer; creating a security test-rig and developing a high-volume Azure Function to deliver managed content to the app. There were legacy APIs which need tending. Other things.
