I believe that an architect is first and foremost a bound artist who - on the basis of pragmatic, formal and cultural ties - is able to invest an emotional content in the realization of a work. It’s this content that we recognise and are affected by, that creates atmosphere and instills a sense of being in the world.It's the architect's responsibility to ensure that a proposal is realizable. In practice from a contextual, programmatic, legal, economical, constructive and sustainable point of view; it's through a sensuously experienced and culturally founded understanding of construction’s practical realities that we can seek to create architecture.A concept that is clearly expressed, well understood and broadly accepted gives a predictable process and a coherent result. As member of a larger work process, I rely on visual, verbal and written communication plus a balance between flexibility and integrity to provide the team with meaningful input and the site with the best possible advice.
