I am a dedicated scholar focusing on innovation, water, sanitation, and hygiene, with a solid background in public/one health and environmental engineering. My primary interest lies in unraveling the complexities of pathogen transmission and addressing diseases like Cholera and other diarrheal ailments through innovative approaches.My work is driven by a strong desire to create a meaningful impact, particularly for children in underserved areas of the Global South. I have collaborated extensively with researchers, NGOs, and companies to develop practical solutions based on research insights catering to marginalized communities needs.One significant contribution has been my involvement in establishing impactful initiatives at the University of Copenhagen. Notably, I designed the Master of Disaster Management program, inspired by gaps in interdisciplinary coordination observed after the 2004 Tsunami. Additionally, I co-create the Copenhagen Center for Disaster Research (COPE), a collaborative platform to address complex disaster-related questions through inter-university cooperation and multidisciplinary exploration. I am currently working on launching the Copenhagen Humanitarian Innovation Lab (CHIL), which aims further to advance humanitarian innovation in close collaboration with Acess2innovation.My experience includes successfully managing substantial research projects with significant budgets, which has equipped me with valuable skills in project management and multicultural leadership.I specialize in diverse areas, with a focus on fostering innovation. This encompasses understanding cholera transmission dynamics and applying innovative thinking to problem-solving. I also have expertise in implementing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions during emergencies and a solid grasp of public health concepts. My background in effective management and teaching further complements my commitment to driving innovation for positive change.
