MIPI’s mission is to benefit the mobile industry by establishing specifications for standard hardware and software interfaces in mobile devices and encouraging the adoption of the standards throughout the ecosystem. The Alliance has over 375 members and an increasing number of external liaisons with related organizations in the mobile industry that are adopting or referencing MIPI specifications in their deliverables. MIPI members participate in the Alliance, developing interface specifications that drive consistency in processor and peripheral interfaces, promoting reuse and compatibility in mobile devices. MIPI specifications have been implemented in billions of devices, and in application areas such automotive, industrial and IoT. The Alliance is one of the premier organizations delivering value to the mobile industry and related industries that are leveraging the evolution and continued growth of mobile infrastructure and devices.

Staff lead responsible for the establishment, launch, and management of all operational aspects of this entrepreneurial new line of business in the area of standards conformity assessment. Responsibilities included: Business Development, Environmental Analysis, External Laboratory and Industry Relations, Marketing, Operations, and Strategic Planning.ICAP was initiated a program of the IEEE-ISTO and affiliated with the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA). ICAP has been established as a key long term strategic priority for the IEEE-SA.

Executive responsible for external relations, strategic planning, marketing, business development, and for promoting and driving the growth and sustainability of the IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (IEEE-ISTO).

Joined the IEEE in September 1998 as one of two founders to establish, and direct the formation and future operations of the IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (IEEE-ISTO). IEEE-ISTO was publicly launched in January 1999. Served in a strategic role during the formative stages and early implementation with industry groups organized within the IEEE-ISTO umbrella, and has served as the Executive Director or Secretary for a number of programs including, SyncML, VoiceXML Forum, the Broadband Wireless Internet Forum, Power.org, Blade.org and LiMo Foundation. Led all aspects of IEEE-ISTO’s day-to-day operations including: Business and Administration, Finance, Business Development, Strategic Planning, Marketing and Communications, Conformity Assessment, Staffing and External Relations. In this role he was a frequent speaker, moderator and facilitator at trade shows, meetings, press and analyst events and industry conferences.

• Coordination of standards activities and strategies across the Corporation.• Monitor, evaluate and track Motorola’s participation and non-participation, in standards developing organizations and consortia by keeping abreast of industry trends and competitive standards analysis.• Researched various consortia (bylaws, organizational structure, etc.) and developed a framework for Motorola’s formation of consortia. • Responsible for the electronic delivery of standards information (including full text standards) to engineers, standards participants, and resource centers.• Webmaster for the Corporate Standards Office Intranet site which serves as the focal point for internal and external standards information.• Represent Motorola at the strategic & policy level in standards organizations.• Coordinate all aspects of Motorola’s annual Standards Week events including a Standards Symposium and Awards Banquet (200+ awards; 250 attendees; CEO keynote address).

• Managed all aspects of the ANSI sponsored Information Infrastructure Standards Panel (IISP) including budget, membership recruitment and retention, marketing, press inquiries, and meeting planning. • Served as IISP’s liaison to external organizations and appointed industry contact by the FCC's Network Reliability and Interoperability Council (NRIC - 7/15/97 Report) for guidance on standards development. • Webmaster for IISP's web pages. Launched IISP's first web site in August 1995.• Editor, The Information Infrastructure Report, a monthly e-mail publication offering recent news items of interest related to standards, information infrastructure, and the activities of IISP. • Recipient of the IISP Outstanding Achievement Award for "Significant Contributions Toward Creating a Global Information Infrastructure" - January 1997.

• Served as liaison between the parties and the arbitrator(s) to resolve claims as fairly and expeditiously as possible. Heavy phone and written communication.
