SHOPMY is a SaaS e-commerce platform that aims to cultivate a user-centric shopping experience. In this position, I had:• Implemented software under test-driven development and integrated automation testing into the core project.• Worked with the payment engineering team to deliver an e-commerce backend API. This project includes features such as online payment, fraud control, risk identification, invoicing, refunds, and automatic payouts within the app, providing a seamless and reliable financial solution within the ecommerce platform.• Implemented third-party services and complex e-commerce order logic into a scalable API. This service is hosted on AWS containerised architecture and handled over 2,000 concurrent sessions during early-stage promotions.• Integrated the event-driven image processing system, enhancing the application’s image response 9 times faster.• Delivered third-party libraries and APIs into the domain-driven e-commerce web app.• Delivered a proof-of-concept chatbot project on the mobile platform. This project demonstrated the effectiveness of integrating chatbot functionality and helped our management team decide on various chatbot solutions to implement for the company.• Worked with non-tech partners to deliver a structural technical plan that aligns with their business model and produced user-centred design software; Maintained technical and API documents with professional standards.• Evaluated the backend API used in the e-commerce app with cost-effectiveness, and reduced API expenses by more than AUD 5,000, which is 40% of the annual API budget for this application.

The Centre for Digital Innovation at RMIT University focuses on developing cutting-edge digital solutions and practices in STEM education.This project aims to create an automatic chatbot prototype that answers student questions using big data and Canvas live API. The system is designed as a microservice that provides flexibility in future maintenance. In 3 months period, we successfully built up a prototype in Canvas LMS and fetched live data when questions were asked by students.In this position, I had: • Worked as a scrum master overseeing the project's schedule and potential risks. With my effective communication and collaboration, our team delivered an AI chatbot that was productively running in Canvas.• Implemented React Frontend with Ant Design and AWS SDK v2 Lex. This development allowed users to interact with Lex directly, improving the overall user experience and engagement.• Designed a secure AWS infrastructure to ensure credential control and performance aligned with RMIT ITS regulations. • Designed a CI/CD pipeline allowing us to build and test various environments before releasing them to the client, ensuring the quality of the product.
