Supporting local authorities and service providers to enable people with disabilities to live healthier, happier more independent lives. Currently undertaking mortality reviews for the LeDeR programme, working as an Associate with VODG, a national infrastructure organisation and supporting providers with data and digital projects and social care tenders. Also promoting involvement in parkrun by more people with a learning disability.

I am privileged and proud to have become a Director and subsequently chair of SPiC. My first meeting upon moving to Shropshire was organised by SPiC and I immediately realised that Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin have a uniquely positive relationship with the provider trade association. SPiC brings professionalism and effective support and representation to organisations providing residential homes, domiciliary care, supported living and other services in the two council areas. The effective partnership approach means that the councils can consult with the sector impartially and without compromising themselves and this leads to better outcomes for the councils, providers and people who use our services. It also means that these councils do not make the mistakes that I have watched other local authorities do through a lack of understanding. I joined the board to increase representation of learning disability providers within the organisation and during my time on the board have also enjoyed applying my experience of working in councils and in other care groups to the governance of the association. As chair I have been proud to represent a skilled and dedicated workforce and management team.

I was responsible for overall management, direction and development of this top quality voluntary sector provider of learning disability and mental health services in Shropshire, the West Midlands and Welsh border area. Bethphage is the place where potential comes to life.

Overall responsibility for all aspects of the business delivering supported living and residential care services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs and generic home care. Accountable directly to the owner (from November 2014 to the acquisitions Director of the parent company) for:- delivery of person-centred, outcome-focused support for 250 adults with learning disabilities / autism, 100+ users of outreach services and 100+ home care clients- achieving 100% compliance with CQC and contract requirements, delivering all services in accordance with the latest legislation, regulations and best practice standards and exceeding the expectations of service users, commissioners, families and professional partners- recruitment, training, support, guidance, direction and development of a team of 620 staff- management of a turnover of £16m per year and achievement of income and EBITDA targets- development of the business through organic growth, tender wins, new developments and geographical / specialism expansion; internal development and modernisation including transitions from registered care to supported living- personal responsibility for all tenders, marketing, internal communications, IT and property- from June 2014 responsible for recovery (quality compliance and financial results) and scaling down of the home care business.Initially recruited by the founder to the specially created post of Service Development Director to head the group's development (growth, tendering, void filling and capacity management) and marketing. Appointed to the position of Managing Director in March 2014 initially for the specialist LD business, then from June for all 3 companies.As of October 2015, Care Solutions Group provides 11,000 hours per week of supported living and outreach services, 50 places in registered care homes and 2500 hours of home care.Steered the group through post merge integration following acqusition by the Lifeways Group.

As a Member of the Venue Entry Team, I and my colleagues had the privilege of hosting the Olympic Games and being an ambassador for our nation. My task was to support ticket holders to pass through the security systems smoothly.

Appointed as the first Assistant Director for adults of working age in this newly created unitary authority to deliver the council's social care responsibilities for younger adults and progress the council from a starting position comparable with special measures monitoring by the regulator. • Strategic lead for Learning Disability, Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol services• Led for social care on replacement of the countywide Mental Health services• Management of the adult safeguarding arrangements including re-writing all adult safeguarding procedures and fulfilling the role of secretary of the county safeguarding board• Management responsibility for commissioning budgets of £27 million, direct provision of day services to 150 adults, respite care services for 80 adults, supported living services for 42 people, a 10 place care home and a small shared lives scheme• Direct line management of 160 staff and provision of services to over 1000 adults and responding to 800+ safeguarding alerts p.a.• Project management of a major change programme in residential, supported housing, day services, supported employment, respite care and transition and leadership of the council’s withdrawal from direct provision of long term care.• Resolved a £3m contract dispute and negotiated the annual transfer of £19m from the NHS; resolved dysfunctional provision and achieved cost savings of over £2m including a saving of over 25% on the biggest contract
