    As an applied R&D geophysicist, I processed and analyzed many extremely noisy, large-scale (GB) seismic data.Among projects of production impact are having:• produced an interactive Java application to depict on-demand accurate microseismic hypocenters in 3D time-space on UNIX workstations from big data loaded in distributed Linux clusters,• developed an automated noisy-data rejection module based on multi-dimensional statistical noise analysis to raise an overall data quality of any microseismic tera-byte recordings, and• implemented in short notice a production-quality Radon transform for attenuating strong coherent noise in C++ / Java to win a project bid as required by clients.A routine prerequisite of my big-data analysis is to edit, cleanse, and sharpen raw data fraught with all kinds of noise, so any subsequent laborious and compute-intensive processing and analysis are of highest-possible quality and with fastest-possible turnaround.
