As Executive Coordination at the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath), it is my duty to support members of our senior staff team as well as our Executive Director and CEO. I am following my title most when I coordinate between our Head of Human Resources, senior staff, and candidates during their application process for open positions at MoMath. During this process, I also conduct a writing exercise with candidates. I am in constant communication with senior staff as various situations come up throughout the work day. I also work with the executive team to prepare and organize events, including major fundraisers. I attend and work at events outside of the regular work day. By supporting senior staff, I must support the departments and employees that they are in charge of. This role comes in the form of serving as a communication link between staff in various departments working on different parts of the same task. This role is also completed by ensuring employees have all materials they need and purchasing these materials.Other responsibilities as executive coordinator include, but are not limited to, researching and booking travel for staff as well as guest speakers, placing events on our company-wide digital calendar, following up on outstanding issues with the executive team, organizing electronic and paper records, and following the parameters of a non-profit and tax-exempt organization.Ultimately, it is my goal to make an effort to strategically follow a creative process so I can comprehend how an event or exhibit may run successfully to the enjoyment and education of the guests.
