I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 2013 and since have worked as a consulting Structural Engineer on over 700 Residential and Commercial projects, ranging from £100k loft conversions to £350m schemes in Central London.I have always had a passion for business. In parallel to working as an Engineer, I purchased a run-down roadside café in Brighton, where I modernised it and tripled its revenue in just two years. Using my own funds, I have also carried out many small residential developments, where I have purchased unmodernised properties and then renovated before selling on for a profit.My experience to date has led me to Ellis Structures where I act as a freelance structural engineering consultant on schemes in the range of £0-£3m focussing on London and the south east.With my developing company Jack Olivia Investments (https://www.jackolivia.com/) I am currently focussing on purchasing commercial properties in London that are appropriate to convert to residential flats either through permitted development of full planning.
