Hi, I am Pete Maselli, and I retired from the Air Force after serving for 24 years. During this time, I was fortunate to work in 3 different career fields, helping me to acquire a diverse skillset. I began as an Avionics technician, where I developed critical thinking, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills. I was part of a team of professionals that worked together to put aircraft in the air. When I retrained into Communications, I learned about networking, small computers, and long-haul communication techniques. In the Services career field, initially I acquired a broad range of skills, including customer service and teamwork. After moving up in the ranks I developed leadership and management skills, while guiding my team to be recognized as the Command’s number one fitness center. Finally, I was selected for my knowledge of Services to be part of the contingency and war-planning team, overseeing Services asset planning in the Korean theatre.After retiring from the Air Force, I decided to continue my education by enrolling at the University of North Texas, where I am majoring in Information Technology. My aim is to begin a career in IT, because I greatly enjoyed fixing computers and communications issues during my time in the military.
