Prior to that, he consulted for several political races throughout New York State, including campaigns for New York City Council, Rockland County Executive and current Queens Borough President Melinda Katz.While studying Political Science and Economics at Lehigh University, Peter became President of the business school’s Investment Management Group. After that, went on to serve for two years on the Dreyfus Board of Directors, overseeing all student-run investment funds at the University.

The Dreyfus Portfolio provides real investing experience for selected students with an interview process rivaling the difficulty of investment banking recruitment. With a strong understanding of the financial markets, these students are typically juniors, seniors and graduate students in the business school. This portfolio is considered the strongest gateway to the financial markets at Lehigh University. Managers of the portfolio are consistently recruited for top positions at leading financial firms.Peter served on the board for two years and was the only non-business school student to hold the position. Over that time, he led sector-specific teams focused on Energy as well as Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT).

In this role, he managed the entire portfolio of U.S. equities, member activities and group meetings. He also led smaller teams focused on Financial Services, Energy and the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) sectors.The Lehigh University Investment Management Group is the bridge to the financial markets at Lehigh University. The goals of the Investment Management Group are to further the understanding of the financial markets and finance industry for all students involved. We seek to achieve these objectives through the management of our three investment portfolios: the Dreyfus Portfolio, the Rights Portfolio, and the FSL Value Portfolio. Each portfolio invests real money and is entirely student run. In addition to the portfolios, the group actively provides for interactions with members of the finance and Wall Street communities.
