• Westpac’s Financial Crime team had an AML part B policy project to adhere to AUSTRAC’s regulations. This involved identifying gaps, patterns and anomalies in several complex datasets in order to find the root cause of.
• Found solid evidence of the root cause of the loopholes, and their size. I then detailed several different pathways to remediate this problem

• Citibank had an AML data migration project involving Coles credit card customers migrating over from Latitude. A lot of the data was in a poor state, and I was tasked with root cause analysis as well as analysing gaps.
• Process redesign for error correction in customers identification forms to comply with AML/CTF rules
• In a second project I was working on I discovered many billing errors avoiding thousands in overpayment, as a result was named Employee of the quarter
• Helped other teams with Excel automation saving them many days’ worth of work

• Change management – redefined each team member’s role, put a new process in place and then managed the teams through this change

• When I started this position I was given the most complex reconciliations that other experienced staff couldn’t do. On my 3rd day I presented to the head of sales and the CEO the errors I found, how long they had.
