VR designer, producer, developer, programmer of bespoke, immersive, cross platform, interactive, real-time 3D experiences, 3D games, 2D games, simulations and applications, I am a solver of problems, I am based at Studio Liddell, UK, winners of the "Audience Distinction in Animation" Award (Shorty's 2020) for BBC's 'Daleks'. animation series, which I was co. Director on with Jon Doyle.     I am a VR/AR specialist and I head up the New Technologies Team: specialists where high quality content meets compelling, interactive code. With literally decades of development experience, I am responsible for designing and producing innovative solutions, researching and developing new technologies and adding a digital 'breadth' to Studio Liddell's highly acclaimed and respected CGI animation studio.I have considerable knowledge and experience in designing and developing for a younger audience developing Nintendo Wii game designs for 'Roary The Racing Car' and 'Fifi and the Flowertots'. I spent two years developing an online world concept for a major British broadcaster and have published over 15 Apps, .Over the last 32 years I've developed interactive content for international exhibitions, serious/fun games, visitor centres/attractions, touchscreen, digital signage and real-time 2D and 3D simulations on all major platforms.For the last seven years I've been designing and developing AR and VR experiences, including the acclaimed medical VR app "MS Inside Out' - delivered on Samsung GearVR, which explores the processes and symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis, for Merck Pharmaceutical.I continue to consider and explore new ways of working with and designing content for VR, with particular focus on narrative and episodic storytelling VR.I was recently honoured to be working with Alison Norrington (www.storycentral.com) and BoostHBG, in Sweden, mentoring upcoming creative VR talent.Day to day I can be found producing projects, designing gameplay/structure, developing ideas, IP's and brands, working with clients, coding, writing scripts, shooting and editing video, advising clients, managing Apple or Google Marketplace, staff and multiple projects, discussing current strategy and future plans, presenting new ideas, solving problems, thinking, listening, learning!

    At SmartScreen Digital Media I designed, developed and produced a number of national and international interactive exhibitions, simulations and solutions, CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs, touchscreen interactive projects, PC and games. I travelled around Europe and the UK with these projects offering on site technical and programming support.From the highly acclaimed M42 Active Traffic Management Driver Simulator ( a real-time 3D driver simulation for the Highways Department) at the 2002 International MotorShow to the 2006 'World Cup Keepy Ups' (a Flash based web game) which generated 250,000 hits in the first week. From the popular National Fire Safety Charity for Children (Welephant website) to the National Space Centre I designed and developed more than fifty interactive projects (Director, Flash, CGI). I left to become Head of New Technologies at Studio Liddell Ltd, and closed SmartScreen three years later.

    I founded and developed the interactive department at Editz into a highly respected developer of interactive broadcast multimedia and digital signage solutions using Scala, Macromedia Director, Flash, and web technologies. I designed and developed interactive software solutions for clients such as British Gas, P&O Cruises, Mersey Ferries, National Fire Safety Charity for Children, Thomas Cook. I designed and developed the highly acclaimed "Introduction to Customer Services CD-ROM" for British Gas/Centrica which gave users a real taste of how a Customer Services Representative has to deal with phone calls from customers (1996). Users role play as a British Gas CSR trying to deal with a number of incoming callers, all who require assistance and processing professionally. This was tied into the curriculum and covered use of English, IT, communication and interpersonal skills, I designed, developed and produced games and interactive CD-ROMs including the award winning "Daresbury Park", as well as the five year remote interactive touch screen project for Christie Hospital, for which I won a Gold Award in 2001.I developed an in cabin broadcast multimedia channel for P&O Cruises, gathering and populating daily content and scripting new events during the mediterranean sea trials of the project.I developed the broadcast multimedia show for Thomas Cook Holiday Warehouses, a three hour visual channel with bespoke music, which also included the in shop queuing allocation system.I left to set up SmartScreen Digital Media Limited.

    I was responsible for editing complete television series, game shows, title sequences, music promos, corporate videos, inserts into local news and comedy shows, and worked on award winning documentary series.During this period I continued to develop my game design and development knowledge, releasing my first commercial game in 1988 - 'AstroWarp' for the 8-bit Atari home computer.I also designed and developed a prototype for a Fire Safety CD-ROM for the NFSCC, featuring a small town and a number of interactive games, videos and informative presentations. This was later developed into the official Cheshire Fire CD-ROM for fire safety.I also wrote a white paper on the future of computer and video games, consoles and the role of facilities companies such as Vector Television in the workflow.
