As Treasurer, I am in charge of the society's annual budget of around £20 000. I have been assisting our Fundraising Officer on grant applications to raise this money, and organised a migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, which involved remaking our accounting spreadsheets and expenses claim system. I have also been assisting the current Co-Presidents with their organisation of the society and our Summer and Winter Roadshows.

Together with my fellow Co-President, we were in charge of the overall running of the society and managed a committee of 27 people. We organised the logistics of our two roadshows around the UK, and public events with attendance up to 2000.

As experiments officer, I was in charge of maintaining CHaOS's collection of educational experiments and demonstrations. I also developed a new crystallography experiment based on a raft of soap bubbles. In addition, I have been liaising with schools to plan our 2022 Summer Roadshow, and demonstrating some experiments myself!

Access and outreach work with the Cambridge Admissions Office. I have worked at a Subject Masterclass, organising course materials, welcoming people to the event, providing general assistance to guests and answering questions in an Earth Sciences introductory lecture.

Analysis of seismic activity related to slab bending and unbending across multiple subduction zones, supervised by Dr Timothy Craig. I developed the Slab Bending and Moment Summation Tool, using iPython Notebooks, to process the data from the Global CMT and ISC-EHB catalogues, before applying it to subducting slabs beneath Japan, the Kuriles, Tonga and Chile.

This role involved... • Editing the Club's magazine, the 'Thin Section'. • Designing posters and promotional material for talks and events • Maintaining the Club website and mailing list • Taking minutes and contributing ideas in executive committee meetings • Assisting in the organisation and running of social events, talks, conferences and residential trips.
