Started and ran a private consulting company focused on medical, technology, business process re-engineering. Some examples of my work:Created an automated case management system for a Medicare related company allowing various medical professionals to work on Medicare set aside cases in a secure online environment. The system allows for nurses, insurance specialists, and medical billing specialists etc. to each contribute, review and update information in each case file and tracks the progress of each case file through the system, with appropriate reminders and notifications at each stage of the process. Designed the product and led the engineering effort.-Finalized the architecture, and led the development team to bring a Cardiac EMR system to market that had been stalled in development for over 2 years. Integrated an intelligent rules engine for determining risk of secondary Cardiac Event and tracked efficacy of treatment protocols at which point I successfully positioned the company for a buyout.-Developed and launched a small business portal for a coalition run by Microsoft, HP, and multiple MWBE partner programs. The portal included a QTI driven assessment engine.-Provided technology due diligence and investment consulting services to a small .boutique investment banking firm with a special focus on education, medical and technology funding.
