Following the successful development plan for Europe, Asia and India, I continued to develop Africa, Middle East and Subcontinent. Main gain was the identification of Swift International as an acquisition candidate for the DSV growth strategy. With a new acquisition in place, I became an integral part of the full reorganization in Africa, including South Africa. Having been the key driver to opening South Africa in 2009, I headed a full organizational revamp from Sept 2014 to April 2015 with permanent location in Johannesburg. The revamp ranged from Human Resources to Sales, among other functions, thus adding this country to the acceptable profit-making positions within the group’s different tiers of profit. In 2015, I moved to the United Arab Emirates where I proceeded to a similar organizational overhaul. The main goal was to move this country to a profit-giving position, which was achieved in seven months after my appointment. As an executive Air & Sea Management member, I have been appointed as sponsor to four global key accounts and continue my leadership within the Air Procurement Team.

Key facilitator of DSV expansion in Asia and Europe. Successful development of Turkish market. In year 2000 I led the set up and organization of the Air & Sea operations departments in Eastern Europe. Following the gains of this setup, I was based in DSV Sweden from 2004 to 2005 as Nordic Air & Sea Director while continuing the progress of the global initiatives.Within years 1999 to 2008 I developed the Asian market for Dan Transport and DSV and managed to turn DSV Joint Venture in China into a fully owned entity over a period of two years.In 2006 I focused on expanding the company to the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa. In connection with that, I led the opening of offices in India (Greenfield investment), Bangladesh, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates. In year 2009, I kick-started the DSV Air & Sea organization in South Africa and steered a steady growth strategy.In year 2008, I led the fine-tuning of agency networks in connection with the acquisition of ABX Logistics and became Head of the Air Procurement Board after this acquisition.

Was approached by Dan Transport with the target of streamlining the cooperation between Dan Transport in the United States, United Kingdom and Scandinavia. This involved the operational standardization and alignment of all agents’ cooperation.Established Dan Transport in Asia to mirror the very successful Dan Transport in United States. Managed to set up Dan Transport office in Hong Kong. Created a joint-venture in Mainland China and acquired a medium sized entity in South East Asia.

A step forward within ASG Scan Cargo caused by the profitable growth and development of the initial two years.

In view of the globalization within the forwarding and logistics industry, Swedish-based ASG approached Scan Cargo for an acquisition. Having an international background and growth knowledge, I became the key driver in all aspects of the acquisition ranging from commercial to legal, among others.Within a short period of time, I led the profitable development of Scan Cargo over ASG’s loss-giving business despite ASG’s leading position in the Danish Air Freight market. Due to the profitable success, besides the management of ASG Scan Cargo, I entered the ASG executive management with special responsibility for group cooperation Asia, USA, Nordic & United Kingdom and agents.

Managed to merge Speditionscentret air and sea with Scan Cargo as a solution to ownership disputes in the former.Transformed the direction of Scan Cargo from pure Air Freight Export with focus on major customers in Denmark to an overall export & import Air & Sea focus logistics company.Opened up branch offices in Aarhus and Aalborg, Denmark.Highlighted the benefits of a having a global standardized network and led the path for a global cooperation agreement with Bax Global creating a transition from working with a variety of agency setups globally to a consolidated one. With this strategic approach, Scan Cargo became one of the top 5 overall Air & Sea forwarders in Denmark.
