I joined Yahoo via the Xobni acquisition. At Yahoo, I continued to lead the Xobni team as we scaled the platform and rolled out Xobni goodness to 400,000,000 users. I also led the development of Search within Yahoo Mail, adding many new and innovative features. And in my last few months there, I took over management of three additional teams: Computer Vision, Yahoo's Photo Platform, and Flickr.

Tellme is the leading creator of innovative applications that combine the telephone network with the internet. I was responsible for development of Tellme's mobile products including a local search application for iPhone, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile. I was also responsible for development of voice applications such as 1-800-555-TELL, Directory Assistance, and Voice Activated Dialing.After Tellme was acquired by Microsoft in May 2007, I continued in the same role for another 2+ years.

Nuasis offered an all-IP next-generation contact center solution, routing inbound phone calls, e-mails, and chat requests to agents across distributed call centers. The product treated these contact types in a uniform way, allowing a pool of agents to respond to multiple media types. I was responsible for all engineering development at Nuasis. The company was eventually sold to Intervoice.

Nuance is the leading provider of speech recognition engines, platforms, and packaged applications. As one of four co-founders, I was the original architect of Nuance's client-server platform and ran all of software engineering, QA, documentation, and technical support for the first few years of the company. Later roles included Chief Software Architect and VP of Application Engineering.
