I've always had an interest in processes, I like figuring out how a diverse variety of things work and then coming up with my own unique way of optimizing or improving systems to better benefit whatever their end goal is or whatever best suits a particular mission. To this end, I've applied myself to a variety of different disciplines both academically and professionally but it wasn't until I started getting into Computer Networking that that itch really started to get scratched. Networking systems are both complex and elegant but have the potential to be very messy also and that breadth of intricacy is just teeming with possibility for a curious mind. Over the years since I left the Army National Guard, I've searched for something as engaging and rewarding as my experience working in, even though only in a limited capacity at the time, Intelligence. After graduating with a degree in Studies in War and Peace from Norwich University in 2015 and being thrust out into the world I can admit I was kind of directionless. At the time I had little interest in resuming academic studies and craved the same type of hands-on work I got to do in the military. To that end, I went into Emergency Medicine receiving my EMT certification in North Carolina and then eventually landing a job in Tennessee and pursuing my Advanced EMT where I would stay until I stumbled upon, almost literally, a CCNA training program that would set me on the path I am currently pursuing. I've been to many places throughout my life, and I have done many things. I've been blessed with the opportunity to work with a variety of people in various capacities from being a leader, manager, and mentor down to being on the proverbial front-line doing grunt work as a retail worker, delivery driver, or EMT. Throughout all this time, though, the one thing that keeps me driving forward is always that hunger for more knowledge about the way things work and how I can, in my own way, maybe help to work with people and make them better.
