I was part of the team that identified Seren as an acquisition target way back when and I was there to see it through to integration and beyond. Starting from a handful of research, design and innovation professionals in the UK we set the blueprint for the broader firm growing to over 20 studios, and through many acquisitions, building one of the world's largest teams of design consulting professionals. Today I sit on the board, set our strategic vision and lead our Financial Service portfolio and solutions. I also support our broader Design & Engineering strategy and lead our Design Led Innovation solution cross-sector globally. I am a profound believer in the power of human-centred design, powered by insight and empathy, to shape technology and change behaviour for the better, whilst reducing cost, enabling growth, and managing risk.

I founded DOOR3 Business Applications, Inc., with Alex Asianov in 2002. DOOR3 designs and builds interactive business applications that create new customers and efficiencies for clients. I helped grow the firm from a few freelancers into a significant design and technology agency servicing global enterprise clients.

I led a multidisciplinary start-up team to develop an innovative mobile application marketplace and collaboration platform for consumer and enterprise users across mobile devices, taking into account market limitations and the OEM's and MNO's active in market at the time. I developed the digital strategy, business plan and financial model, secured angel capital investment, managed the development of an active application prototype, and supported the business model through venture capital presentations.

I worked across a wide variety of user experience and technology roles while at Sapient with some of the most talented people I've ever met at a moment in time when the Web was up for anything. I developed presentation layer strategy, ran customer research activities, gathered requirements from client stakeholders and their customers, managed design, development and integration teams, managed third party vendors on globally distributed projects, defined best practices for mobile application development across retail and financial services, and developed some of the first enterprise mobile applications for two clients, Amelia in Brazil and Prudential.

As an independent contractor I worked for a number of end clients, firms and agencies playing a variety of roles across strategy, design and technology and working on some really interesting projects while I pursued academic and creative interests. I learned a great deal and had the opportunity to work with some very talented people as the new digital landscape emerged. How do you optimise your page load time on Netscape?
