Lantern is a publisher in the field of nursing, health and social care, established in collaboration with Scion Publishing. I am responsible for commissioning and developing new titles.

My role is to introduce UK publishers to PageMajik's editorial, production and archiving platforms to enable publishers to make time and cost savings and to improve their productivity.

I worked on a consultancy basis to seek opportunities to develop PG Online's international business.

With the integration of Rising Stars international activities into the Hodder Education international team, I took on a freelance role focusing on specific parts of the combined list. The role involved working with the international team and network of agents to find new sales and business development opportunities. During my stewardship, sales of the products on which I focused more than doubled.

I worked on a consultancy basis helping Rising Stars to develop their international business. During the period of my consultancy, international sales more than quadrupled.

Reporting to the Managing Director, I was responsible for developing and implementing publishing strategies for the primary and vocational sectors. I also took the lead in integrating BEAM, a primary maths publishing and CPD company acquired in 2004.

I was responsible for integrating NTDL, a distance learning company acquired in 2002, into the main Nelson Thornes business and for leading the company in its business and educational objectives.

Reporting to the Managing Director, I was responsible for publishing strategy and plans for the vocational and international markets; I assumed marketing responsibility for vocational markets in 2003.
