As a consultant, lecturer, and former university athlete I have been blessed to be involved in a variety of athletic, organizational, and academic settings over the past three decades. As a Mental Performance Consultant, I have developed various systems and strategies aimed at improving athletic performance. Currently, I am a Mental Performance Consultant for The Sports Clinic, Athletes Care, and Toronto SEMI. At each clinic, I consult with athletes who compete at the national, international, intercollegiate, and professional levels.I am also the co-founder of HeadSet Sports – www.headsetsports.com. HeadSet is a Mental Skills Training program for athletes and teams that are delivered completely online and takes advantage of A.I. technology to automatically develop customized programs for each athlete/team. HeadSet is an innovative product (access from all electronic devices) that was created by experts in the field of sport psychology/coaching to help athletes/teams develop and track the important mental skills crucial to athletic success. In an academic setting, I am an adjunct faculty member of psychology at York University, the University of Guelph-Humber, and Sheridan College. I teach a number of psychology courses including Sport & Exercise Psychology, Group Dynamics, and Test & Measurement. My research interests focus on the area of group dynamics in sport (athlete leadership and team cohesion), as well as mental training technology and its impact on athlete performance. My research has been funded through the University of Guelph-Humber’s research fund.
