After 30 years of corporate life in Australia, Europe and Middle East, I entered executive search in 2006 joining The Insight Group in April 2014. My career has exposed me to senior executive management and boards in commercial and social enterprise arenas, strategic and commercial business leadership, advocacy, relationship management, marketing and international brand management, HR and senior recruitment operating in different cultural and language environments including 12 years as a Chief Executive in SMEs.Having qualified and worked with KPMG in London and Sydney, I diversified into marketing and general management initially in entertainment with the Michael Edgley group, then with the Elders / Foster’s conglomerate in a variety of roles over 15 years - in FMCG, Travel, Pay TV, Property and for 9 years in Brewing where I led the commercial development of the Foster's brand across continental Europe. From 1994 - 2000 I ran the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria focusing on revitalising the Royal Melbourne Show as the state's largest public event whilst building the business case for the redevelopment of the Showgrounds. From 2001-6 I was involved in a series of commercial ventures – leading a bid to establish the Melbourne Eye in central Melbourne - and from 2003-6 running the successful venue and event cleaning business, Cleanevent, in Australia and the UK.I am a qualified chartered accountant (FCA), a graduate of the Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a member of Melbourne Rotary.
