Bayer Business Services is empowering sales representatives by developing a highly usable multiplatform tablet application using the KonyOne platform and integrating with Salesforce CRM backend services with an international team of +/- 50 people. I am responsible for implementing the described processes in the mobile application. My tasks range from requirement analysis and translating requirements into prototypes to developing the mobile application framework in Javascript with KonyOne 5 platform and guiding both on-shore and off-shore colleague developers.In addition, I performed the onsite client requirement workshops and user acceptance tests in several countries.

In this large scale redesign project my team was responsible for the deployment of a completely redesigned front-end architecture, agile scrum workflow and internet banking application. In the leading development team I have developed structured modular front-end code in Javascript, jQuery, requireJS / HTML(5) / CSS(3) and supported the leading architects in their front-end architecture design.

To align the concept team, business and IT in their redesign project I have actively participated in the concept designing process, by developing clickable prototypes in Flash Catalyst, HTML Axure and iRise that really help to bring certain concepts to life. With these prototypes, concept artists are able to communicate their thoughts to stakeholders like business, management and IT which creates a great sense of involvement, overview and participation through feedback and workshops.

"Kud" is an online animation series which have also been featured on Dutch television. I'm collaborating with the writer, animator and voice actor of Kud to compose, record and produce music. This collaboration resulted in higher quality animation productions and a distinct artistic identity.My activities range from composing, producing and recording music and vocals, to developing the cd webshop and backend tools in HTML, Javascript, PHP and MySQL.During a 12-week music project in 2010 we have recorded and released 500 limited edition audio cds which sold out through a custom developed cd webshop.

Student Assistent, assisting students during computer practicals on the courses "Inleiding Programmeren" (Java programming basics) "Online Informatie Systemen" (Online information systems), "Project Interactive Multimedia". and "Privacy en Beveilging" (Privacy and Security). These jobs consist of assisting students that are performing a computer practical course. In these courses students have to program exercises and the studentassistents provide them help when they have questions and check their work. In the last course I prepared and given tutorials and demo's on computer security.

I chose to take this job because the proper informing of pre-study students is crucial to the computer science trade. Bad informing and bad reputation causes low enrollments in computer science studies which leads to a big shortage on the market. This job consists of informing people on the computer science bachelor and master on the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, as well as some presentations on schools throughout the country.

Originating from his master study courses and the need of educational improvement on the VU in Amsterdam, Peter and his colleague Timen Olthof have completed several explorative researches into innovative technologies such as Actionscript / Flex, Adobe AIR, multi touch and mobile development for Android, resulting in clear experience documentation and examples to be used for future student projects.The Android development project Peter did at the VU resulted in several small, widget based apps resulted in one Android-Market published application called "Xbox Live Stats Widget". This application, showing statistics for the xbox live gamer network using the official Microsoft developers API, was engineered, designed and implemented from scratch. In this process we have encountered several mobile development aspects such as third party API authorization negotiations, API usage and feed-parsing, Android Developer enrollment, Android-Market publishing, user feedback, error reporting and version updating.Deep-diving into the world of mobile development resulted in a wide variety of challenges on different levels. After learning and comprehending the complex workflow of the Android framework, we had to deal with real end-users and used their (mostly harsh) feedback to improve the application and create a more stable product. The clear usage goal in a unique market niche, close relation to the applications users, updates with feature requests and bug fixes caused the application to be downloaded over 170.000 times (as of 01-05-13).

This serious game company from Amsterdam is developing an interactive educational actionscript3-based game for young children. To improve the educational qualities of their game I have implemented an Intelligent Tutor System (ITS) that was able to tailor the difficulty of the in-game content to the currently playing student. During my internship I was responsible for researching ITS's, eliciting the system’s requirements from management, cooperating with developers and external educational experts, engineering the software architecture and database design. In the final stage of his internship I have successfully implemented the API backend for the ITS in PHP / MySQL using the PureMVC framework. The implemented ITS system is now actively used in the latest releases of the game.
