Strategy development and planning.

Direct the efforts of approximately 50 personnel responsible for war game design, execution and analysis to develop advance strategic and operational concepts for future employment by joint and multinational forces. Project manager for complex inter-service war games, forging disparate stakeholder objectives into concrete gaming goals and directing all planning and execution events for over 100 participants.Professor, War Gaming Theory and Practice: graduate level elective on war gaming theory and principles primarily via case study. Assistant Professor, Application of Game Theory to Operational and Strategic Decision Making: graduate level elective applying strategic game theory to military decision-making at the operational and strategic levels using case studies and in-class exercises. During military career served as a Naval Flight Officer assigned to numerous EA-6B squadrons; flew combat missions in support of Operations DESERT SHIELD/DESERT STORM, SOUTHERN WATCH and IRAQI FREEDOM. Logged over 2,600 flight hours and 600 arrested carrier landings. Shore assignments included flight instructor duty, Electronic Warfare Officer with COMCARGRU ONE, British Joint Services Command and Staff College, and Combatant Commander, US Naval Forces, Europe as the head politico-military officer, Southern European Policy Branch. Awards include Bronze Star, Air Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation and Achievement Medals, and numerous unit and campaign awards.

Responsible for the performance, welfare and safety of 165 personnel and five tactical jet aircraft deployed on the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt in support of US national security policy. Deployed to the Mediterranean and engaged in combat operations in the Middle East. Squadron selected by aviation community senior leadership and peers as Maintenance Squadron of the Year, winner of the Semi-Annual Safety Award and Pacific Fleet Retention Excellence Award for high personnel retention rates.

Responsible for analyzing US foreign policy implementation in southern Europe. Authored 30 comprehensive studies to prepare senior leadership for discussions with members of Congress, foreign military officers, civilian ministers and European business leaders.
