As a Cloud Automation Engineer my primary focus was creating infrastructure and automation workflows that resulted in more efficient business processes at the bank. I became familiar with working in an Agile and Scrum environment where I owned specific User Stories that were further broken down into daily tasks. I worked primarily in cloud environments, both AWS and Azure, while leveraging Python and PowerShell to handle most of the scripting. I developed an approach to my coding which prioritized keeping the production environment clean and leveraged the weekly Change of Advisory Board meeting to present on new implementations. Being involved in the complete lifecycle of these projects from proof of concept, to analysis and design, to testing and deployment really helped me grow my understanding of best practices when it comes to CI/CD. Meticulously catalogued and tracked a collection of 100,000+ revolving artworks in six separate high-end art storage facilities to ensure a damage rate of less than 1%Every day spent at Atthowe was faced with great appreciation. Upon moving to Oakland, Atthowe became the number one company I knew I wanted to work for. I was primarily responsible for building the crates, but was capable of stepping in wherever needed. I assisted in nearly every aspect of Atthowe's operations from packing to storage, as well as assisting in installation and rigging whenever necessary.

Shared in the overall aesthetics by placing and installing artworks in approximately 142,000 square feet of space on time for the grand reopening of SFMoMA after enlarging the museum 600% with renovations.Working at SFMOMA was nothing but purely enjoyable. I was hired on a temporary contract to assist in the complete installation of the museum after it went through years of renovations. On a weekly basis I helped load and unload trucks full of art and then transported them to their gallery. With a team of other preparators I helped install nearly half of the museums platforms used for guarding vulnerable works of art. I was involved in the hanging of very prominent paintings as well as the fabrication of pedestals that will support priceless pieces of sculpture for years to come. Working in this world class museum as a preparator has been an important experience in the growth of my career in the art world.

Due to my aptitude to ramp up quickly I was able to increase efficiency and productivity which led to a 200% increase in our profits the following year.At Chicago Fine Art Packing & Crating I had the pleasure of working very closely with its founder Sean Conneely. As Sean's assistant, I did whatever necessary tasks were needed in order to ensure all orders of crates were completed on time. These custom crates were hand built and guaranteed that an object could safely be shipped anywhere around the world. We worked with museums, businesses, fine art collectors and an assortment of other clientele, shipping everything from paintings and sculpture to furniture and marble tops. I constantly learned new tips and methods that only worked towards improving the quality of our already top of the line crates. I am proud to have held this job under Sean because it helped lay an incredible crating and art handling background I would otherwise lack.

For two years I did freelance work for Dietl during the Art Expo at Navy Pier. I assisted in all aspects of helping set up and take down multiple booths during the Expo. The works being dealt with ranged from 2D works to sculpture, as well as chandeliers and neon signs. Tasks included packing and unpacking, wrapping and unwrapping, installation and deinstallation, crating and uncrating, etc. The most important aspect was making sure the works of art were being handled as safe as possible and that they were being displayed how each client preferred

I was extremely excited when I was first hired by the MCA as a Gallery Officer. Being able to go behind the scenes and attend events that I otherwise would not have be able to see were such great experiences. As I worked my way up, I became the Senior Security Manager where I was in charge of overseeing all other Security Captains and Gallery Officers during regular museum hours and nightly events. I made sure the artwork on display was protected at all times, as well as ensured patrons were able to navigate easily throughout the museum. I coordinated the opening of the museum in the morning, and the sweeping of patrons and closing of the museum during the evening. As the senior manager I made sure my team of captains and guards always knew what they should be doing and I provided an efficient atmosphere to work in.

With the experience of my internship at Glessner House Museum, I was able to get my second internship in the Prints and Drawing Department at the Art Institute. I was extremely fortunate to be able to work closely with the Deputy Director for Art and Research Martha Tedeschi and one of the curators in the Prints and Drawing Department Mark Pascale. As an intern my main duties included handling the works of art on a daily basis to allow for visiting classes, researchers and staff to access. I would update inventory from the collection using the software Citi. At times staff wanted to become knowledgeable of certain artists and I was requested to research and present information pertaining to their relevance. By far the most rewarding projects dealt with helping the curators with displaying the artwork in the galleries of the museum. I was asked to select a group of prints to be put up in the Allerton galleries that I wrote wall labels and text for. I also assisted in selecting works to be put up in the Toulouse-Lautrec gallery. Lastly, I assisted in kick starting the exhibit "Undressed: The Fashion of Privacy."

Thanks to the help of Brother Mark Elder at DePaul University, I was able to obtain my first internship. I had the pleasure of working very closely with the Executive Director and Curator Bill Tyre during my time at Glessner. My first project was to help organize and classify their collection into a digital format using PastPerfect software. I was taught how to properly handle and care for numerous historical objects ranging from books and art to furniture and homegoods. My last major project was to take a complete inventory of the library within the Glessner House. After completing my internship at the end of November 2010, I returned to volunteer my time during the summer of 2011 where I happily continued with the cataloging of their inventory.
