About Peter Phipps, Pmp

Peter Phipps is a Principal Systems Engineer and Project Manager with Leidos, a science and technology solutions leader working to address some of the world’s toughest challenges in national security, health, and engineering. He started his civilian career with SAIC, then transitioned with the company as it became Leidos, spinning off from the original SAIC. Before joining the civilian world, he spent 8 years in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer operating the P-3C Orion aircraft, completing two deployments to the Middle East and one to the Western Pacific, as well as a tour planning and conducting operational test and evaluation of P-3C and P-8A aircraft. He completed an MS degree in Systems Engineering in May of 2011 at George Washington University's School of Engineering and Applied Science and completed an MS degree in Project Management from GW's School of Business in May 2013. Peter became a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in February 2012.
