Recent projects:Evaluated Nvidia’s Jetson/Jetbot AI Kit utilizing Pytorch and Alexnet in Jupyter Notebooks as well as the Donkeycar R/C Rasbperry PI platform based on Tensorflow/Keras models for more general robotics projects.Performance testing of direct attached DELL storage system with 84 drives under Windows Server 2016 Storage Spaces with various RAID configurations, stripe sizes, and SSD acceleration. Wrote Powershell scripts to quickly re-create storage spaces, virtual disks, and volumes. Recorded performance analysis with IOMeter and SQL-IO tools.Participated in the design and implementation of a VMWare footprint for a custom quality control application storing and analyzing images taken from industrial production lines. Migrated several over-extended physical systems to VMWare ESXi on DELL Servers and Compellent storage, installing multiple instances of SUSE Enterprise Linux, Postgresql, and a custom database application. Worked with a distributed team between application developers in Munich, Germany, a staging center plus network and storage specialists near San Francisco, California, and deployment sites in mainland China.

Worked with Data-Center customers to address their challenges:Evaluated several storage solutions for a Hadoop cluster analyzing web logs. Settled on iSCSI backend storage system from DELL/Compellent.Analyzed network latency issues with "tcpdump" for an online game hosting customer. Promoted a paid private peering connection to Comcast to more directly connect "eyeballs" to all our customers.
