Reporting to the Managing Director , I lead the engineering team to ensure the delivery of engineering programs to stakeholders and customers, a team which includes highly competent designers, research and development engineers, and projects engineers. Having a deep interest and technical background in aerospace composites, I lead the team to develop new rapid composite processing technologies for aerospace and automotive markets, create and prototype new product designs, design and manufacture low and high rate tooling, and deliver efficient manufacturing solutions to the lean operations team

My primary responsibility at CCP Gransden is to lead the research and development activities focused on the manufacture of thermoplastic composites for the aerospace and automotive industries, whilst developing strategic commercial opportunities and routes to market. In my wider R&D role, I support the Engineering team with new materials and processes, and work closely with the supply chain to develop new technologies focused on our customers short term and long term needs.

- Research and develop in the field of Thermoplastics composites including automated fibre placement and thermal welding - Material and process qualification of injection moulded components- Conceptual design and product development of aircraft lightning strike protection systems - Technology development of thermoset composites and infusion processes
