Mr. Rath has over 18 progressive years of Program and Executive Management experience, with a dedicated focus in the Federal Information Security market since 2000. He is the President of Compass Federal Consulting, where he and his team work to support a federal Agency's Chief Information Security Officer's (CISO) Security Program as well as serving several pharmaceutical companies with Federal contracts meet Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) requirements. Mr. Rath manages the Agency's Continuous Monitoring and Vulnerability Management Programs, having successfully architected and deployed several large-scale Enterprise security projects to support 90,000+ IT assets and over 45,000 people. He is the contractor lead of the Agency's Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program. Prior to founding Compass, Mr. Rath built three separate federal Information Assurance / Information Security Programs from the ground up. Responsible for profit and loss (P&L), hiring, oversight, management and training of 100+ FTE, contractors and consultants, he also performed Program Management activities for over 2 dozen Federal clients, while supporting the Business Development and Capture Management teams. Jun 2009 - Jan 2011Mr. Rath spent 18+ months building an Information Assurance / Information Security practice for Tantus Technologies, an 8(a) small business focused on federal government clients. He successfully captured new business with a dozen customers at 6 federal agencies, several of which were completely new customers for Tantus. Project work included the architecture, deployment and operational management of an Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution for a Federal Agency with 35,000+ employees and contractors spread across the country and providing Vulnerability Assessments for another federal agency with over 45,000 employees and contractors. Other project work included building an IA Program Management Office (PMO), conducting Security Program Assessments, creating an Information Security Strategic Plan, FISMA Compliance (Certification and Accreditation, security control testing), developing security policies and procedures and conducting Security Training and Awareness. -
