Peter is a Principal of Tonkin & Taylor Ltd and a senior environmental scientist with over 25 years experience in resource management. He specialises in water management, particularly the treatment of stormwater and the assessment of catchment-scale hydrological changes brought about by land use changes. Peter has lead multidisciplinary hydrological investigations, prepared assessments of environmental effects and stormwater management for stormwater discharge consent applications, and has advised territorial local authorities, government agencies and private clients on consent conditions for stormwater discharges. Peter has designed stormwater treatment systems for residential and industrial developments and roading projects and has provided peer review advice and expert evidence on stormwater management throughout New Zealand.
