My work advanced policy solutions to some of California's most pressing water issues from watershed to the tap.

I managed the statewide water system needs assessment, a first of its kind technical, managerial, and financial risk analysis of water systems that will identify solutions for out-of-compliance water systems across the state. I have contributed policy, water utility rate, and GIS analysis to major reports for the State Water Resource Control Board, including Recommendations for a Statewide Low-Income Water Rate Assistance Program. My expertise extends to equity in access to water and my graduate capstone research identified policy solutions for water utilities to address tap water trust.

My work at the Luskin Center for Innovation focused on tap water affordability and quality in California. I used my policy analysis, writing and editing skills, and GIS capabilities to support projects.

I helped to turn Los Angeles into a sustainable city by working with community partners, corporate groups, and thousands of volunteers to plant and care for trees.

I worked with community organizations and corporate partners to keep our rivers clean and build river stewards out of river cleanup volunteers.

In the Strong Homes Program at Groundswell we are organizing collective investment in energy efficiency upgrades to residential homes. By pooling residents’ purchasing power we help lock in discounted rates for efficiency services, generate savings for each household budget and lower families’ energy use. While I work directly with homeonwers coordinating our projects my goal is to scale our efforts up by building meaningful relationships with community institutions that can expand our reach quickly and help break down the financial barriers of investing in energy efficiency that low-income communities face.

During my time at Physicians for Social Responsibility I coordinated a diverse coalition of organizations working to end government subsidies for nuclear power, I created original content used for outreach to our supporters, researched developments in existing and pending nuclear power projects and updated fact sheets, and worked with the Safe Energy Program Director to develop program strategy.

As the Energy & Legislative Outreach Intern I had the unique experience of working directly with scientists, outreach staff, and lobbyists to create the most effective strategy for ensuring that policy decisions national and state levels were based on science. Often I helped implement tactics through event planning, creating original content for outreach to our supporters, tracking legislative developments and analyzing policy, researching target elected officials, and advocating directly to elected officials in Washington.

Managed the planning and implementation of a week long grassroots organizing training for 50 students. In order to hold a successful training I delegated tasks to a team of eight trainers and held weekly conference calls in order to support them in successful task completion. I mentored this team in developing the templates and presentation of their trainings. While at the event it was my responsibility to make sure staff and trainers were supported, that the program was on schedule, and that the participants were happy and receiving the best experience possible.

As Student Representative I was a non-voting council person on the Indiana Borough Council. This position was the project of the Indiana Community University Collaborative as a tactic to build a stronger relationship between the local residents of Indiana and the student body of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My duties included advising my fellow council members on how the student body would be impacted by and react to proposed policies, participate in public appearances and community outreach events, mediating tensions between students and community members, and cultivating a stronger sense of "neighborhood" among students and local residents.

At Harrisburg Bike Taxi we get you there the green way. I provide a sustainable mode of transportation to residents of downtown, midtown, and uptown Harrisburg, PA by pedaling them to their destination. I burn calories, not fossil fuels.

Organized Harrisburg Summer of Solutions leadership team and facilitated the development of project ideas. Successfully encouraged the growth of green business opportunities for youth in Harrisburg.

Participated in the development of the current license fee structure.Researched and created documents delivered to elected officials.Acted as project leader for the Fish and Boat Commission's development of riparian buffers on properties state wide.
