I have built a prototype digital intelligence framework based on algorithms designed to replicate the fundamental principles of mammalian brains. The algorithms are based on research into cortical columns. Each have certain overlapping fundamentals and were developed under different public researchers with funding from a variety of sources including DARPA, ONR, and the NIH, along with several other private institutions.If you are interested in the work or progress, please feel free to contact me. This research has existed for 20+ years and it is hands down the closest thing we have to biologically plausible intelligence. It's not optimization based so it's not very popular and most of the concepts are from one researcher, Gerard Rinkus, so there are only a few papers on it. But other researchers are discovering the same principles independently and it's becoming clear this is without a doubt the way forward to true digital intelligence.

Many of the tools and visualizations that we build and plan on building are designed around the idea of making more sense of highly complex data. The idea is to reduce the problems and data to a set of smaller more manageable concepts and hopefully discover core principles of intelligence that we can then use to design a completely bottom up digital intelligence model.

How it is formatted, stored, and retrieved by models is the difference between 10's of thousands of dollars worth of servers and hard drives... and a laptop.Tools Development:Algorithms and the intuition behind those algorithms are fine, but in the end, if those systems are going to be useful, someone needs to build an easy user friendly tool to use. Databases, models, algorithms, information in general, sometimes it just takes a good tool to visualize or pull it all together. Sometimes the right tool leads to new discoveries. Visualizations:One of the biggest tools for making sense of high dimensional data is visualizations. The right visualization can lead to new insights in what is and isn't important. It also allows the user to reorganize the data in their own mind and make more intuitive connections between pieces of data.
