I started as Foreman/Lead Carpenter on 2 high-end custom homes.

I was responsible for the coordination of consultants, trades, team members, materials & equipment in a timely and efficient manner on multiple jobs ranging from houses & townhouses to multi-unit commercial jobs. I also managed the construction of a sales gallery under a tight timeline alongside my PM.-I served as a designated first aid attendant & site safety officer on multiple jobs.-I filled the role of assistant site supervisor and assisted the site superintendents on a couple commercial jobs.-I organized daily & weekly tasks for my team members and ensured they had what they needed to do their jobs.-I gathered, approved and cost-coded over a dozen timecards of team members for AP regularily.I also served on the JOHS committee for 4 years (as co-chair for 2 years). I helped develop the company safety program, participated in investigations, educated colleagues on safe work practices and provided knowledge of safety protocols when required.

I worked on 14 different projects in various capacities over my time with Abstract; adding a large variety of experience to my skillset while pursuing my apprenticeship.

Worked as a carpenters helper after first moving to Victoria, BC.

Worked as a general labourer before starting my carpentry apprenticeship.
