After more than 10 years as a winning quarter horse and thoroughbred jockey, Billy decided to pursue another passion: helping others meet and exceed their financial objectives. As a financial planner, he works with business owners, affluent women, and retirees to help connect them with the best choices for their goals. A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, Billy holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and finance. Billy’s financial services career began in 1996 in Long Beach, California, where he served as a Senior VP of investments with PaineWebber. He went on to serve as Senior VP of wealth management with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney before opening his own practice, Peterson Wealth Services Inc. in 2009. Billy has been a member of the Raymond James Chairman's Council in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. This group represents the top 1% of Raymond James advisors in the country. Membership in the Chairman's Council is based on prior fiscal year production. Requalification is required annually. Billy is a native of Morgan, Utah, where he currently resides with his wife, Heather, and their five children, Cade, Karly, Brig, Kaiya and Berkley.
