I'm a researcher at University of Vienna in microbiology/biotechnology, focused on cultivating novel Antarctic bacterial taxa and identification of their undiscovered secondary metabolites, targeting antimicrobial and anti-cancer compounds.My previous work in Vienna also involved modification of live-Fluorescence in-situ hybridization method towards targeting rare soil Acidobacteria with the goal of cultivation and secondary metabolite extraction.During my undergrad at University of Glasgow, I did contribute to exploration of the BT1 transporter in Leishmania with Aminopterin, paving the way towards a possible vaccine. Internship-related research concerned the efficacy of irritants against biofilm-forming Candida albicans....oh and I'm also a photographer, but rarely professionally
