Sr. Project Director, Nuclear Refurbishment
CurrentResponsible for developing and leading the strategic direction in the areas of Project Management and Field Execution for effective delivery of the Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR), Balance of Plant (BOP) and Boiler Separators Projects within the $12.8 Billion Darlington Refurbishment.Responsibilities include:The accountability for effective delivery of fully integrated portfolio of projects, including Project Management, Contract Management, Project Oversight, Safety and Quality.Strategic interdependencies for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, integration with the plant, and turnover to operations. Vision and leadership for the functions within the organization to establishes performance objectives for the portfolio. Development of the organization structure, and resource/staffing plans within the normal and matrixed organization design to identify, select, and train resources to support the implementation of the project. Document and manage risks, develop contingencies, and implement any required recovery plans to assure project objectives by building and maintaining relationships with OPG and external vendor/contract partners’ leadership, and other stakeholders as appropriate. Enforcing engineering standards and code requirements in all aspects of project execution. Accountable for engineering within the portfolio of projects.
