About Pete Stothers

I'm the General Manager of two companies; Rack Studs Limited, the manufacturer of the revolutionary new replacement for the cage nut and Zenith Asset Management, the company behind the ScanCam anti-sweethearting device launched 2009. (http://scancamusa.com). Rackstuds went on sale in NZ on the 1st of October after 13yrs in the making and are now available all over the world (http://rackstuds.com/buy).I trained as an Electronics Technician & qualified in 1983; the same year I qualified as a private pilot. My background in Electronics and problem solving skills I've gained have served me well in both companies and assisted with the creation of the aforementioned two products.Today I'm actively involved in the development, sales & marketing of the Rackstuds and the ScanCam and focused on increasing access to both products by developing overseas distribution and resellers channels.     5 years ago I conceptualised a device that would assist retailers in determining if staff were defrauding POS by failing to scan items at the checkout.In December 08 the "ScanCam" unit went into production and in August 2009 we received our first patent. In June 09 we launched the product in America. Today the product is in use by a number or large retailers with interest and store trials still prevalent during retail expos like FMI and NRF.
