Peter is the inagural Chief Strategy Officer for the City of Atlanta, reporting to Mayor Dickens. Prior to this Peter was the Chief Administrative Officer for the Atlanta Police Department, overseeing the functions of Strategy, Technology, E911 Center, Code Enforcement, Recruiting, Licensing & Permitting, Logistics, linkage to COA Human Resources, and a number of other critical functions. Before returning to the City of Atlanta in 2022, Peter was the Leader of EY's Americas Advanced Manufacturing and Mobility sector for the Strategy & Transactions service line.Peter previously was the the lead partner responsible for managing and growing EY-Parthenon's presence in the southeastern United States. Peter's background in strategy consulting, and strong ties and service to the Atlanta area, served as the perfect combination to build out the EY-Parthenon strategy practice in the region. EY-Parthenon's capabilities in growth, optimization, and transaction strategies enable fast-track value creation for organizations to reach their full potential.Peter has served as a senior partner with Bain & Company and has more than 25 years of consulting experience across a variety of sectors. He has supported clients in growth strategy, new business and product development, organizational effectiveness, salesforce effectiveness, cost position improvement, and operational efficiency and effectiveness. Most recently, Peter was an Atlanta mayoral candidate in 2016 and 2017. In 2010 and 2011 he served as the Chief Operating Officer for the City of Atlanta, where he managed all operating departments including Police, Fire, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Public Works, Information Technology, HR, and many others. Peter also led turn-around support for Mayor Franklin from 2002 to 2005 as she tackled long-standing city challenges.Peter has a long and strong track-record of supporting and leading both private and public sector entities and helping them set new standards of results.
