Registered Manager in the Autism/LD sector. Currently manager of the Palmarium service in Calne, for Cornerstones, part of National Care Group. This is a service for up to 7 adults with autism and various complex additional needs. The service recieved a "Requires Improvement "rating in all domains from CQC before my arrival, and I have been working with the team and the provider to make significant improvements to the service. This service has now received a Good rating in all domains following a comprehensive review by CQC published in September 2024. The service also recieved a "Good" rating from Wiltshire councils "PAMMS" audit in early summer 2023,. The service which had been closed to new admissions when I arrived is now open again and occupancy has doubled under my management. The service has excellent staff retention and is currently fully staffed with 45 full time, part time and bank colleagues, includinga large number from overseas. We have zero agency usage.Previously operations manager of the Rowde Service Wiltshire, where since April 2019 I had joint registration of a service supporting about 30 people with learning disabilities. Promoted in January 2022 to Ops , where I then oversaw the whole site, which included 6 supported living services and an "upskilling enablement " team This was a very complex and challenging role due to the potential closure of the site because it didnt meet the requirements for "registering the right support ". I worked very closely with supported people, staff, families, CQC and the local authority to work towards the best possible outcome for the people who live at Rowde. In July 2022 I successfully oversaw the transition from residential care to supported living with the new care provider Agincare EnableI have prior experience of setting up and developing a new complex additional needs service, working towards achieving positive outcomes for the people i was supporting in line with regulatory requirements. Experience of training and developing several other senior support staff into registered manager roles.
