About Peter Theill

I like to see myself as a diverse developer. I'm the guy who started coding when I was eight and have been working with a lot of different programming languages as well as technologies over the years. I started doing BASIC on a C64 and continued on with assembler on Amiga 500 and shortly after C++ after having bought an expensive (at that time) Lattice C++ compiler on floppy disks! I have done extensive programming (meaning either open source projects or actual software running (or ran) in production) with JavaScript, TypeScript, Objective-C, Java, C#, Ruby, Pascal, C++, PHP, Python, Perl, Go and Svendsk.Short summary of me -- I have a Datamatician degree from RBC, a B.Sc. from DIKU, one child, one wife, did NYC marathon, did Copenhagen marathons, did Chinese Wall marathon and two Ironman distance triathlons. Living in Copenhagen, Denmark -- I have been a C#, Java as well as a Ruby consultant, released quite a few open-source, free- and shareware products for Windows, Mac and iOS, sold Filebasket, a site for finding and selling software, to Digital River in 2004, ran a Ruby on Rails company doing prototypes for startups for a year, previous partner in GoMore, co-founded Click A Taxi and Drivr where I headed our mobile team and I'm now co-founder and CTO of Familio.
