Specifically the development of requirements, development of the product, the business casing of all development capital, service to market and release of products to the market. The position managed a team of leading Telco solution experts and is focused on developing market leading, innovative and differentiated products that will create value for Telecom New Zealand across its complete Telco Portfolio.The role included the management of a direct team of product development managers and the management of a virtual team of program management, project management, engineering, software development and marketing professionals with teams upward of 150 people per project.The role successfully launched Data and Voice over IP services to meet Regulatory Government Undertakings and business requirements for Telecom New Zealand.

Argent Networks prior to acquisition by Mobilis Networks and Red Knee from Canada provided real-time mediation, rating, billing and customer care solutions for prepaid and postpaid voice, data and content. Argent's development centre was based in New Zealand. Argent’s convergent billing solutions enable communications service providers to provision, rate and bill for 3G/2.5G and 2G mobile and provide value added services solutions including SMSC, MMS and VMS. Argent’s customers included the world’s largest communication providers, servicing and billing millions of subscribers in over 25 countries across the globe.The role managed the day to day operations of the company including planning, organising, staffing and managing all business development and marketing functions. The role had numerous direct and indirect reports and oversaw the human resources functions.

This position was responsible for all marketing, operations and business development for Telemedia Networks including marketing all prepaid and postpaid billing products, switching, voice messaging, unified messaging and CRM products, management of day to day activities and management of pre sales activities for the company.Telemedia Networks was founded in 1996 and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1999. Telemedia Networks grew to A$70m turnover with 200 employees globally and 70 Telecom and Carrier customers globally.The position worked with a variety of its customers including Deutsche Telecom, T-Mobile, Telia, France Telecom and Cable and Wireless, Telecom NZ, Telstra NZ, Virgin Mobile and many others implementing a range of Operational Support Solutions (OSS), Value Added Services and Billing System Support (BSS) solutions.
