Responsible for the machining department (17 FTE shopfloor + 4 FTE Office). The core activities of this department are the production, adaptation and optimization of components for tools and fixtures (both press-tools and assembly tools). The fabrication methods that are utilized: milling, turning, grinding, hardening, electrical discharge machining and NC-measuring. Furthermore, the shop floor is supported by the office with a planner, work preparators and NC programmers.

Responsible for the office team within the Toolroom department (6 FTE). The office coordinates the toolrooms planning (capacity and detail), supports machining with NC programmers and work preparators and maintains the quality system. Next to that the office develops and maintains metrics (KPI’s) for managerial business intelligence.

Conducting change processes within the entire value chain with the focus on areas without a clear process owner. The disciplines involved in the change processes are: setting up a process with roles and responsibilities, education process owners, setup of supportive data systems. Methodologies/skills that are used: 7S-model, value stream mapping, lean/six sigma, different programming (VBA, SQL), statistical analysis (SPSS).

Traineeship within different departments of the company: Toolroom (engineering), Press-shop (operations), logistics and contract management (sales).

Conducting research about the effect of a managers' cognitive style on his or hers explorative, exploitive or ambidextrous orientation. Starting with a multiple case study at two different companies in New Zealand for problem identification and hypothesis formulation. Subsequently, data from 250 companies was obtained for empirical validation. The paper was presented at the 18th international product development conference from the european institute for advanced studies in management. Awarded with the runner up Christer Karlsson best paper award.

Standardizing and formalizing the production process (mainly assembly) in a Chinese production facility. Composing process instruction sheets and reviewing them using PDCA. Testing the final product, and setting up an FMEA.
