Director, Professional Development & Diversity Programs
CurrentIn this role, I partnered with Senior Leadership to drive the development of Organizational Change and DEI strategies aligned with the organization’s overall strategic plan, ensuring their integration across all levels to create a lasting impact. I led the creation of innovative and forward-looking frameworks for Professional Development and DEI, guiding cross-functional teams in the development of programs and initiatives. I collaborated with functional leaders to enhance professional development goals, focusing on governance, leadership pipelines, and recognition efforts, to foster inclusion within scientific research and clinical practice. I managed five program managers and virtual assistants to standardize processes for incorporating key performance indicators and reporting across various organizational programs. I coordinated data collection, analysis, and reporting on the impact of DEI programs, using metrics to refine strategies and ensure accountability for diversity goals across member programs and initiatives. I served as a key advisor and liaison to two volunteer committees, providing expertise on best practices in DEI and organizational change.Key accomplishments:• Advised senior leadership and member leaders on key metrics, providing insights into the impact of professional development and DEI programs for stakeholders at local, national, and global levels.• Expanded the organization’s influence by collaborating with teams to conceptualize and develop new strategic initiatives, trainings, and professional development programs.• Successfully incorporated professional development and DEI goals into awards and recognition programs, enhancing the visibility and recognition of diverse members in clinical practice and basic science research.• Developed and implemented assessment tools to measure the impact of professional development programs, resulting in a significant increase in member participation in leadership development and training programs.
