In my current role, I am accountable for serving as a subject matter expert to a team of 150 professionals, including senior managers, platform lifecycle managers, technical delivery managers, agile development teams, and technical support coordinators. I establish integrated security incident response process, bridging platform support team with GSOC (Global Security Operations Centre). During my tenure as a Senior Support Manager, I led the recruitment and establishment of new offshore 3rd line Technical Support Team based in Manila. I administered support team budget of £3M. I developed comprehensive job roles, procedures, and working practices for newly formed team. I provided effective line management and training to new 3rd line team, fostering high-performance work environment. While serving as a Platform Release Manager coordinated all maintenance and release tasks for product-facing and authoring platforms in English Learning. I planned regular maintenance releases and managed urgent hotfixes triggered by emergency issues and patches/security upgrades. Founding director of BugGrub Limited. An edible insect retailer, importer and wholesaler with expertise in the CVED import process, Zen-Cart e-commerce, and of course entomophagy (insect eating).Aiding in promoting entomophagy in the UK, one person at a time.

I was employed on a three month contract to undertake the audit of 65 franchised offices (recently purchased back by Carewatch) in preparation for a company-wide upgrade to the IT infrastructure. The project brief was to visit each of the offices located throughout the UK within the allocated timeframe; to audit all IT hardware and software; and, to record corporate signage and branding at each location whilst keeping travel and overnight accommodation costs to a minimum.

While in this position at Pitney Bowes (PB), I was responsible for managing a team of software developers, testers and production line workers of up to 22 members. My main responsibility was project managing the development, testing and manufacturing of internal software updates for the PB range of franking machines and scales. The projects were initiated through our European, African and Middle Eastern offices and could include up to 10 different product lines. At any one time I would have 5 different countries’ projects running simultaneously throughout the year rising to 15 at peak times. Each project generated revenue of £1k to £3m and would run for 10-12 weeks. These projects had very short time lines and needed very precise planning and management. Added to this, frequent last minute changes from initiated by our customers required a restart of the work, with no change to the effective date and with severe penalties for missing the deliverables.

Appointed as sales administrator in the sales department, but rapidly took on the responsibilities of a technical support role within the department due to qualifications and an aptitude to the support role. Responsibilities included the in house training of all the sales staff to use MS Word and MS Excel, the departmental weekly and monthly sales accounts.

This position started off as part-time while studying at school and college and then turned in to a full time position. For the first two years the position was in sales on the shop floor selling electrical items and then progressed on to the Senior Sales Administrators role which involved auditing, banking and general administration work.
