About Peter Cornish

Peter manages a small dynamic team at Procurement SA's ensuring the engagement of the not for profit and industry sectors as well as improving the procurement and contracting capabilities of the whole of Government. Peter is also working on the implementation of the recommendations of the review of the South Australian Funding Policy for the Not for Profit Sector.In 2010 Peter was also elected to the Burnside City Council, the City has a population of over 46,000 residents, located on the east of Adelaide between the CBD and the Adelaide hills. Burnside has assets of approx $866 million and an annual budget of over $55 million providing over 120 services all managed by over 165 FTE. Peter is also on the CEO Recruitment, Performance Appraisal & Remuneration Review Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.Peter was elected to be the chair of the Eastern Health Authority. The Authority has a budget of over $2 million has approximately 15 FTE and manages vaccinations, food audits, vector control and supported residential facilities over 5 Council areas. Peter is also on the Audit Committee and the CEO Performance and Remuneration Committee for the Eastern Health Authority.
