Bight Gear (formerly known as MtnLogic) is a top-of-the-mountain brand created from the collective experience of world class mountain guides and climbers. After decades of collaborating with other outdoor industry manufacturers, it was my vision to develop intuitive, functional gear for ourselves exactly the way we need it to function through a rigorous field testing and validation process. As the Primary Decision Maker (PDM), I am responsible for implementing the company’s vision, driving strategic development, ensuring financial health, and leading marketing efforts. I am also fully engaged with the design, development, and testing of each product. At Bight we believe that an authentic and diligent process leads to best-in-class gear.

Established in 1969 by my father, Lou Whittaker, RMI has built a 45-year legacy of leading mountain adventures all over the world for climbers of all abilities. Under my direction, RMI has grown to be the largest guide service in North America, with over 60 of the world's top guides leading over 3,000 clients annually. Exceptional leadership, focus on safety, personal attention, and dedication to climbing responsibly distinguish RMI as a leader in the mountaineering world. RMI was named Outside Magazine's Outfitter of the Year in 2014.

I have been a mountain and ski guide for over 40 years, with over 250 ascents of Mt. Rainier, and multiple expeditions and completions of the Seven Summits. I founded Whittaker Mountaineering in 1990 to simplify outfitting and identify the best products for our clients. Utilizing the Guide Pick™ process, Whittaker Mountaineering offers a unique selection of mountain products for outdoor enthusiasts. Located just outside Mt. Sa-Weeet is a full-service mountain production company that specializes in filming and producing content in the world's most remote and harsh environments. The team has produced over 170 YouTube videos with nearly one million views and over 150 digital magazines and newsletters. Sa-Weeet has developed content for Men's Journal, Backpacker Magazine, Men's Health, First Ascent/Eddie Bauer, and Red Bull.

The Guide Pick™ trademark established in 2010 designates outdoor products that are selected by RMI's guides as best in class through extensive use and testing. Guide Pick™ includes video segments produced by Sa-Weeet and feature individual products throughout the Whittaker Mountaineering and RMI websites.RMI utilizes the Guide Pick™ process to identify best in class products and make recommendations to their clients for all domestic and international trips from Rainier to Everest.

Notable camera appearances and productions include:- On-camera host for Men's Health/Red Bull Kilimanjaro Climb (2014)- Appeared in and produced over 170 YouTube segments for Eddie Bauer/First Ascent, Backpacker Magazine, Whittaker Mountaineering, and Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. (2009-Present)- Produced/hosted 60-minute video "Alpine Mountaineering on Mount Rainier, Basic Techniques", distributed by Alpen Books and sold through REI (2005)- Host/on-mountain commentator on location at Mount Everest for live broadcast of Outdoor Life Network, "Everest: Global Extreme" series. (2003)- Host for Resort Sports Network weekly show, "Banff Mountain Film Festival" (2001)- Hosted Emmy-winning PBS series "Trailside: Make Your Own Adventure" (1999-2002)- Appeared in and produced Outdoor Life Network "Outdoor Gear Guide" series (1999-2001)

Responsible for product development, marketing, advertising and strategy decisions for the First Ascent brand. I had final check off on all gear and apparel before it went to market, including packs, tents, duffels and a complete high altitude layering system.

Collaborated alongside top designers from Buck to conceive, design, test and launch 24 different products. The foundation for these concepts came directly from mountaineering principles: simplicity, intuitiveness, and efficiency.
