Ran trials aimed at demonstrating the commercial viability and performance of the ZeaChem process as well as utilizing the plant for contracted, third-party campaigns. As petroleum energy economics shifted in recent years, team changed focus from construction of larger commercial ethanol plant to repurpose the demonstration plant to production of a high value, low market volume organic acid and derivatives. Succeeded in identifying and producing a suitable product in early 2017 but, curtailed the plant in April due to business conditions.
