Peter is a seasoned leader having spent 32 years in the manufacturing, construction and engineering fields. He formed Cascade Management Resources in January 2020 to provide capital project development, project management and construction management services. He is currently engaged with Packaging Corporation of America at their Wallula, Washington Pulp and Paper Mill. Peter joined QBM Management, a project management and engineering services firm, in October 2017 as a Project Manager working to develop and execute capital projects and process modifications for Packaging Corporation of America at their Wallula, Washington Pulp and Paper Mill. Prior to QBM, Peter worked with ZeaChem Inc. as Plant Manager of the Boardman, Oregon Demonstration Biorefinery. He and his team successfully produced cellulosic ethanol in February 2013. He is experienced in production operations, project management, strategic purchasing, leveraging best practices and business operations. Peter served as Corporate Project Manager and Plant Manager with Cascades Tissue Group where he executed the successful turn-around of a failing tissue manufacturing operation. He worked with Boise Cascade in two different paper mills and eight corrugated container facilities over a seventeen year career serving in various production capacities rising to the position of Production Manager before moving to a corporate position as Manufacturing Services Manager of packaging operations. Additionally, Peter spent several years with BE&K Engineering and Construction, in the field, as an engineer leading teams on several large industrial projects within the pulp and paper industry. Peter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon.
