Crossing Point is the holding company for Conversations that Count and other consulting and training services.

I help senior individuals and teams to think through their most complex challenges. My intention is to help leadership teams to 'Become Good at Crises' - my definition of resilience. My primary tool is reflective dialogue. I also mediate fractured working relationships and I train mid-career professionals to facilitate well.I also train groups of facilitators in this kind of work.

With two fellow volunteer facilitators I have been pioneering a town-wide dialogue process to help often-polarized residents develop a coherent response to the challenge of baboon troops visiting the suburbs from the mountain above us.

I created a podcast series with Shazre Quamber-Hill based on interviews with senior executives about what the emerging climate crisis is demanding of leaders, particularly in business.

Exploring the feasibility of setting up a Next Economy Enterprise Network in SA. It looks promising, so watch this space in 2023!

Over a six month period leading up to COP26 I held a weekly or fortnightly conversation with each of 7 climate leaders in the UK and Africa, helping them think deeper into the challenge of being at the leading edge of climate response. 90 discrete leadership insights were distilled out of these many hours of dialogue.

Working with The Resilience Shift (UK), from April 2020 I interviewed every week for four months twelve senior decision-makers from business and city management, helping them reflect on their response to the unfolding coronavirus pandemic. These conversations yielded many rich insights into leadership in an existential crisis. Next Victor distilled the most valuable insights from the 43 hours of interview material into 55 short, themed films that are easy to access and learn from.Not only is the complex reality of the crisis now documented for ever in unprecedented detail, but the method we used with our interviewees – patient reflection in conversation – means that their testimony is vibrant, personal and highly nuanced. Designing, convening and facilitating 3-day residential seminars on sustainability leadership for groups of 30-40 senior executives in South Africa, Kenya, Abu Dhabi and Nigeria. These included the annual Prince of Wales's Business & Sustainability Programme.
