The South Atlantic Division oversees the operation of 12 hospitals and 10 freestanding ERs in six distinct markets in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. As a member of the division marketing team, active in setting the marketing strategy and tactics for each of the hospitals. Responsible for evaluating and implementing the hospital media buys in the six markets. Execute commercial-targeted campaigns, provide input to the marketing strategy and implementation for the division’s 152 owned physician practices made up of both primary care and specialty practices.

As the VP of Marketing and Business Development responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets. Actively work on business and market development, market research and planning, set the strategic direction for promotion and advertising, assist the sales and business growth team, and direct the day-to-day activities of the marketing office, in-house print shop and PBX operations.

Responsible for the management of the Communications and Marketing department with a focus on enhancd internal communications as well as increasing brand awareness and hospital preference overall and for key service lines including the Cardiac & Vascular Institute, the Comprehensive Cancer Center and the maternity care services.

Responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies to build the University Community Health brand, strengthened internal and external communications and managed the overall operation of seven different cost centers across the five hospitals with a combined annual budget of approximately $3.3 million and 14 FTE’s consisting of 4 managers and 12 staff members.

Responsible for all marketing, public relations, and media relations. Scope of leadership included the departments of Admitting, PBX/Answering Service, Hospitality & Volunteers, and Public Relations & Marketing with three managers, seven direct reports, 34 staff members and 330 volunteers. Accountable for a combined annual budget of approximately $1.8 million.
