I founded Hybrid Technology with my partner, Chris Jordan, and we designed and manufactured laser projection controllers for the entertainment industry, digital music synthesisers which we licensed to Acorn Computers for use with the BBC Microcomputers, and we undertook various subcontract electronics design activities.

I was lucky enough to have a job in the workshop of the Trust museum, working on everything from a grand prix car, a Canadian built Ford side-valve V8 fire engine, road making machines, bakery equipment, tramways, vulcanising equipment, etc etc. in the period village and motor museum.
